Our Services
At Kainos Journey Care, we offer EFT-informed Christian counseling and pastoral care for adults, couples, adolescents, and ministry leaders. Our work centers on motional safety, attachment, and the relational patterns that shape how we connect with God, others, and ourselves. We believe lasting change happens when people feel seen, safe, and emotionally understood.
Core Areas of Care:
Christian Counseling
Faith-based counseling for adults that integrates Scripture, prayer (if desired), and emotionally focused tools. Sessions help clients slow down, identify underlying emotions, and understand how emotional needs shape thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. Common concerns include anxiety, stress, grief, identity, relationships, and life direction.
Grief & Loss Care
Support for those navigating the loss of a spouse, parent, child, or major life transition. Grief is approached as a relational and emotional process—not something to “fix.” Sessions provide space for sorrow, numbness, anger, and longing, while helping clients reconnect with meaning, faith, and support.
Trauma-Informed Pastoral Care
Gentle, paced care for those impacted by childhood or developmental trauma. We focus on creating emotional safety, understanding protective responses, and making sense of why certain reactions show up in the present. The goal is not to relive the past, but to develop greater stability, connection, and choice.
Marriage Support & Premarital Counseling (EFT-Informed)
Care for couples seeking deeper connection and emotional safety. We help couples identify negative interaction cycles, understand the emotions beneath conflict, and move toward more secure and responsive connection. Premarital counseling addresses expectations, family-of-origin influences, intimacy
boundaries, communication patterns, and spiritual unity.
Ministry & Leadership Care
Care for pastors, ministry leaders, missionaries, and ministry families. This work addresses emotional exhaustion, role strain, conflict fatigue, and the pressures of leadership. Sessions focus on restoring emotional balance, clarifying boundaries, and
cultivating sustainable ministry practices.
Additional Support Areas:
Faith Strain & Rebuilding Support
A safe, grace-filled space for Christians experiencing disconnection, doubt, or emotional pain related to faith or church experiences. We honor honest questions while supporting a process of rebuilding trust, meaning, and secure faith without abandoning core convictions.
Family-of-Origin & Attachment Work
Exploring how early relationships shaped attachment patterns, emotional responses, and views of self and others. This work helps clients understand current relational struggles with greater compassion and develop healthier ways of relating. Forgiveness is approached carefully and never forced.
Emotional Regulation & Relational Skills
Practical, emotionally focused tools for staying present during moments of overwhelm, anger, panic, or shutdown. Clients learn to recognize emotional signals, calm the nervous system, and respond with greater clarity and connection—both in the moment and over time.
Men’s Healing & Integrity Support
Support for men carrying shame, hidden pain, or emotional isolation. Sessions focus on understanding the emotions and longings beneath destructive patterns, strengthening honesty and accountability, and developing secure connection with God and others. The work emphasizes identity, vulnerability, and long-term character growth.
Youth Care at Kainos Journey Care
Adolescence is a season of rapid emotional, relational, and identity development. Youth care provides a safe, supportive space where young people can explore emotions, build regulation skills, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others—always with parental consent. Our approach is trauma-informed, developmentally aware, and grounded in compassion—recognizing that growth happens best when young people feel safe, understood, and supported at their own pace.
